Japanese painting course: sumi-e
The course includes 4 sessions, each lasting 2.5–3 hours.
Classes take place on Tuesdays, once a week. No prior experience is required — the course is suitable both for beginners and for those with some basic skills.
Sumi-e is not just painting, but the art of expressing the soul through the brush. During this course, you will immerse yourself in a world of calm and beauty, learning to work with the energy of the moment. In a warm and welcoming atmosphere, we will explore the technique step by step — from simple exercises to more complex compositions using ink and watercolor on rice paper.
Each session will also include a short meditation and a shared tea moment, making the learning experience even more enjoyable. Together, we will create beautiful artworks and learn to notice harmony in the world around us.

Margarita Kazerskaya
I was attracted to the art of sumi-e after visiting Japan, where I was already captivated by the beauty and harmony of Japanese nature. My passion began with kendo, Japanese fencing, but later I discovered sumi-e and since then brush and ink have become my faithful companions.
I am inspired by nature and strive to share this inspiring energy with my students.
I have an art pedagogical education and more than five years of teaching experience. My goal is not only to impart knowledge, but also to inspire my students to be creative and express themselves through the art of sumi-e.
