This course is your first step into the world of mindful drawing.

Academic drawing is the foundation of artistic education. It helps develop a sense of proportion, confidence in line, and understanding of form — as well as the ability to construct objects correctly according to the rules of perspective and represent three-dimensionality on a flat sheet of paper.

During the course, you’ll learn to see objects through the eyes of an artist — through structure, proportions, and spatial relationships. Step by step, we’ll explore light, shadow, perspective, and volume to make your works look convincing and professional.

You’ll gain all the essential skills to draw consciously and confidently — not just copy.

Course Program:

Lesson 1 – Hatching and Perspective
• Types of hatching and creating smooth tonal transitions.
• Linear perspective: one, two, and three vanishing points.

Lesson 2 – Cube
• Construction and shading of the cube.
• Conveying space and three-dimensionality.

Lesson 3 – Sphere
• Construction and shading of the sphere.
• Light, shadow, and reflections on curved forms.

Lesson 4 – Cylinder in Space
• Combining perspective and light–shadow work.
• Practicing smooth gradients and confident lines.

Lesson 5 – Cone
• Understanding the shape and construction of the cone.
• Representing volume through shading.

Lesson 6 – Still Life with Geometric Forms
• Composition using a cube, sphere, and cone.
• Creating a coherent and expressive drawing.
